A. A Field Manual, is a collection of how-tos and references for proven practives to be applied ‘in the field.’ Importantly it is built on real experience. Importantly is well used, well curated, and trusted by those who depend on it.

A. The Solutions Engineering team, a customer facing engineering team at CircleCI.

Q. Who uses this manual?

A. The manual is intended for use by CircleCI Field Engineers, assisting customers in the field. The language is intended for a “power user” audience, with solid foundations of CircleCI.

Q. Is this a getting started guide?

A. Not per se, you likely started already, but this is useful for specific patterns or scenarios you may encounter. Any getting started content likely includes an opinionated stance on optimizations or caveats.
